Our work is all about transforming communities and changing lives for the better. That's why this year we're asking you to give what you can to help us do more.

Your donations will mean we can continue our project work and keep making a difference to the lives of those involved, such as our Youth Co-operative Action project that has been working with young care leavers from across Greater Manchester. 

The reality

Supported by the Co-op Foundation and the #iwill fund, the project has worked to combat loneliness amongst careleavers, with those involved working together to create a performance that showcases how loneliness affects them.

The government's Care Leaver Strategy highlights just some of the issues faced by young people in care, with 64% of care leaving services judged by Ofsted to be inadequate or require improvement. Our project has also seen young people open up about their experience, as demonstrated by the quote below.

Having an impact

All those involved in the project have tackled their feelings of loneliness by working together, whilst they've also  learnt new skills and grown their confidence. Take a look at the video below to see how the project has transformed the lives of the young people involved.
